Frisch’s Mobile Roller Rink takes over Court Street Plaza July 1-4.

Get ready to strap on some skates and tap into your retro roller skating-persona because Frisch’s Mobile Roller Rink is popping up on Court Street Plaza this weekend.

From 4-8 p.m. July 1, noon-8 p.m. July 2 and July 3 and noon-6 p.m. July 4, the nearly 10,000-square-foot rink will offer public skating for a $2 admission fee. Bring your own skates or rent a pair for $5.

The rink originally debuted over Memorial Day weekend to honor Frisch’s 75th anniversary, with a nostalgic nod to how popular roller skating was back when the local chain was founded.

“Frisch’s has brought cheerful experiences to guests for 75 years and we will continue to do just that as we celebrate our 75th birthday,” Frisch’s VP of marketing Jordin Nabi said in a release about the launch of the rink. “We are excited to partner with 3CDC to bring back the magic of roller skating and say thank you to our loyal guests.”

Frisch’s Mobile Roller Rink is set to have five more events this year, including this weekend’s pop-up, according to an email from 3CDC. All will be held at Court Street Plaza.

The remaining dates are:

  • July 1-4
  • Aug. 5-7
  • Sept. 2-5
  • Sept. 30-Oct. 2
  • Oct. 28-30

Court Street Plaza is located on Court Street downtown. Get more info about the Frisch’s Mobile Roller Rink at facebook.com/mobilerollerrink.
