Frisch’s Big Boy is feeling fancy this National Burger Day by upping the ante — and adding aioli — on some of its offerings.

On May 28, the chain, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, will launch a line of new Craft Butcher Burgers. There will be a:

  • Classic Craft Butcher Burger: a quarter-pounder with cheese, aioli, pickles, lettuce and tomato
  • BLT Craft Butcher Burger: a quarter-pounder with cheese, bacon, aioli, pickles, lettuce and tomato
  • BBQ Jack Craft Butcher Burger: a quarter-pounder with pepper jack, barbecue sauce, pickles, lettuce, tomato and a onion ring

These elevated eats will only be available for a limited time.

And if you want to sample some for free, head to the Frisch’s and 3CDC roller rink pop-up on Court Street Plaza on May 28. From 2-4 p.m., attendees can try the Craft Butcher Burgers. Famed local bar owner and mixologist Molly Wellmann has also made a special float to celebrate both the opening of the rink and the burgers. It will be available from noon-2 p.m.

The roller rink will pop-up on Court Street Plaza several times this summer and into fall with inaugural dates May 27-30. The 10,000-square-foot rink will have a $2 admission fee and $5 skate rental; skaters can also bring their own equipment. Additional rink dates are slated for:

  • July 1-4
  • Aug. 5-7
  • Sept. 2-5
  • Sept. 30-Oct. 2
  • Oct. 28-30

Earlier this year, Mayor Aftab Pureval named March 4 Frisch’s Big Boy Day in Cincinnati in honor of the restaurant chain’s 75th anniversary.
