Condé Nast Traveler says it best themselves: “Cincinnati may not be the first place that springs to mind when it comes to settling down.”

However, in their “10 Best Places to Retire in the U.S.,” they chose to rank the Queen City as the seventh-best U.S. city to retire. The ranking was out of ten and, not so shockingly, Florida cities took home four of the spots. Fellow Midwestern city Minneapolis, Minnesota took the fifth spot.

The rankings were based on a WalletHub Study that took four factors into consideration: affordability, activities, quality of life and health care. According to the study, Cincinnati ranked third in “retirement-friendly activities” while not ranking too well the other categories.

“Even if you aren’t a huge Bengals or Reds fan, you’ll still find plenty of museums, botanical gardens, and parks to keep you busy and happy,” writes Condé Nast Traveler editors.
