Pround Hound Coffee has a new menu for night owls — or, at least, early evening owls.
The roastery and cafe is adding a self-titled “Late Night” food menu this Friday for a one-night-only test run to see how it goes.
The kitchen, which serves up Southern-centric breakfast and brunch with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients and seasonal dishes, is currently open until 2 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The first Late Night pop-up takes place 5-10 p.m. Jan. 28. And with an entirely different menu.
Aimed at a dinner crowd, Proud Hound will be serving burgers and fries. There’s a Proud Patty double smashburger with cheese curd, white American cheese, house pickles, K sauce and pickled onions on a milk bun. The Tofu Waifu features a fried tofu patty, Japanese barbecue sauce and sesame slaw on a vegan bun. There’s also a pulled pork shoulder sandwich and a chicken and waffle sandwich. Substitute a vegan patty for any burger for a $2 upcharge.
As for fries, you can get them plain, with garlic butter and parmesan, with yaki seasoning or Cajun-style.
The cafe will also be serving beer from Listermann, Pipeworks, Untitled Art and others.
Located in a 4,000-square-foot warehouse at 6717 Montgomery Road, the cafe officially opened in June of 2021 — a milestone the team has been chasing for years. Since launching in 2019, Proud Hound has been helping Cincinnatians get their caffeine fix via pop-ups with its coffee truck and cart, wholesale operations, events and collaborations. The flagship location, complete with a coffee bar and full-service kitchen, also houses its roasting facility, viewable by customers through large glass windows.
Proud Hound Coffee is located at 6717 Montgomery Road, Silverton. Learn more at proudhoundcoffee.com or check-out the “Late Night” tab on their Instagram.
