Does green beer make you pee green?

Cincinnati was recently named the 16th best city in the nation to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and these parties help prove that distinction.

If you’re looking for somewhere to chug green beer this weekend  — aka during “St. Practice Day” — or on March 17 itself, or just start drinking with your breakfast, these events have you covered.

Note: This is not a comprehensive list of every St. Patrick’s Day party or bar serving green beer.

St. Patrick’s Day at Molly Malone’s
Molly Malone’s in Covington is an Irish pub year-round but goes very green for St. Patrick’s Day. They’ll have green beer, Irish dancers, bagpipers and live music from Liam’s Fancy on Saturday, March 12. But they also have a full-on party on March 17 with kegs and eggs, green beer, Irish entertainment on two stages and themed T-shirts for the first 100 guests. That Thursday, they’ll close down Court Street in Covington and put up a tent for all-day entertainment. Bar opens at 10 a.m. March 12; kegs and eggs start 7 a.m. March 17. Free admission on March 12; $10 on March 17. 112 E. Fourth St., Covington, facebook.com/mollymalonescincinnati.

Green Kegs & Hammered at Keystone Bar & Grill
Time for kegs and eggs. Keystone will be plating up brunch specials, like morning mac and cheese, while guests chug pints of green beer. The restaurant will also have “festive shots,” $16 pitchers of mimosas, espresso martinis and bloody marys. Breakfast shenanigans run 10 a.m.-2 p.m., but Keystone says green beer and shots will be available until close. The eatery will also have green beer and basketball all day on March 17. 10 a.m.-midnight March 12. Free admission. 313 Greenup St., Covington, facebook.com/keystonebar.

St. Patrick’s Day at Murphy’s Pub

On the drinks side, green beer will be served the whole day, well drinks will be $1.50 from 4-8 p.m. and for the whole month of March, you can enjoy a $6 green Long Island iced tea. 5:30 a.m. March 17. Free admission. 2329 W Clifton Ave., CUF, facebook.com.
