The chef of Cincinnati’s oldest tavern will be competing on an upcoming episode of Food Network’s Chopped.
Arnold’s Bar and Grill chef Kayla Robison’s episode will air Tuesday, March 1 at 9 p.m. in the 51st season of this long-running, wildly popular TV show.
On Chopped, four contestants typically compete for a $10,000 prize through three rounds where they must use unusual combinations of ingredients to create dishes that are evaluated by a panel of judges.
In an Instagram post, Robison announced her upcoming appearance saying, “No words to describe this experience and opportunity. Met some incredible chefs during this journey and I’m excited to share with all of you the exciting news!”
Of course, her home spot Arnold’s had to celebrate, too, sharing in the excitement with a social media post and announcing that they will be hosting a watch party for Robison’s episode at 9 p.m. March 1 (when it airs).
This social-media-savvy chef goes by the handle @commandernbeef and shares tons of delicious meals and recipes. She also has often gone live on Arnold’s Facebook page in a segment called “Cooking with Kayla.”
Cincinnatians can also recreate her recipes as Robison uses lots of local ingredients. This prosciutto and fig ravioli features pasta sourced from Findlay Market coated in lemon brown butter and topped with Buffalo mozzarella from The Rhined.
Robison has made appearances on local news as well as on the Food Network, the Cooking Channel, the TODAY Show and the Travel Channel’s Man v. Food .
