While most of Cincinnati likely will be watching the Bengals play in the Super Bowl on Feb. 13 and may be too hungover for Valentine’s Day the next morning, we can’t forget to celebrate love.

Good thing, then, that the Queen City offers tons of V-Day events before and after the 14th both for the early birds and for those who forgot to plan something and now has a pissed-off significant other. But these events doesn’t have to be just for lovers; take yourself or your best friend or even your Mom out for some heart and chocolate-filled fun. (Note: These events had availability as of Tuesday morning, but things may change as the holiday approaches. Confirm with business owners or organizers before making plans, and prepare for possible COVID-19 protocols.)

Galentine’s Skincare & Makeup Workshop
Get your glam on this Galentine’s Day with the help of Augusta Aesthetics and Gregorie Styles Skincare & Makeup Workshop. Learn all about the details of contouring from Gregorie and how to keep your skin healthy from Augusta. Combine the two and you and your gals will be glowing for Cupid’s month. My Furry Valentine
My Furry Valentine is the area’s largest pet adoption event, bringing together hundreds of animals from rescues and shelters across Greater Cincinnati. Adoptable dogs, cats, kittens, puppies and other small creatures will be at the Sharonville Convention Center for the weekend. Adoption fees and rules vary for each participating agency, so visit the My Furry Valentine website in advance to see their adoptable animals and various processes. Valentine’s Night at the Observatory
Head to the Cincinnati Observatory for an evening of romance under the stars. Each couple gets a charcuterie board (at their own table) before viewing the night sky through the historic telescope on site. Bars, restaurants and vendors across Newport on the Levee are ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day. There will be live music, discounts and themed food and drink specials. Cupid’s Undie Run
Cupid’s Undie Run is a fundraising, pants-less party in the streets. The event, which encourages participants to strip down to their skivvies, takes place in 37 other U.S. cities as well as Cincinnati. Each run donates 100% of the proceeds to neurofibromatosis research through the Children’s Tumor Foundation. After a brief mile-ish run around The Banks, things continue with drinks and dancing at Galla Park cocktail bar. Noon-4 p.m. Feb. 12. $50 registration. The Banks, Downtown, cupids.org.

Galentine’s Day Paint & Sip at MadTree
Celebrate Galentine’s Day with an afternoon of painting and sipping at Madtree Brewery. Bring all your single (or taken) ladies along to Madtree’s taproom in Oakley and choose between a variety of Galentine’s day painting themes. Galentine’s Brunch with DJ Coco
Galentine’s Day isn’t Galentine’s Day without breakfast. Grab your girls and head to this brunch at Frosthaus with tunes from DJ Coco.
